Founder, Kate Failor, decided to inspire change with Eighty Six'd Hospitality - tired of having less than stellar, or even mediocre dining experiences she sought the need for restaurants to recognize and act upon their shortcomings - turning them into profitable experiences.
She brings over 20 years of hospitality management insight and experience to the table. Kate, a Virginia Tech graduate, began her career in the industry as a manager of a local Baskin Robbins - continuing her career with both Brinker International and Rock Bottom Breweries before moving to Southern California. Kate became General Manager of Beverly Hills' beloved Porta Via before joining upscale Manhattan Mexican cuisine pioneers Rosa Mexicano. With Rosa, she quickly rose to the position of general manager eventually becoming a multi-unit gm for the Los Angeles locations. Kate most recently held the Director of Operations position for Top Chef runner-up Brooke Williamson and her husband Nick Roberts running all aspects of their businesses including curating Tripli-Kit a unique speak-easy culinary store. With a combination of corporate experience with the refinement of a mom & pop mentality, Kate brings the knowlege, passion and eye necessary to help restaurants and bars identify and fix problems.
